Check out the trailers and read the short descriptions for some inspiration of what you and your children could watch.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (PG-13)

Just out, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children tells the story of Jake (Asa Butterfield) as he goes on an amazing adventure into a world of alternate realities. Stars Eva Green as Miss Peregrine, Chris O’Dowd as Jake’s dad Franklin and Jude Dench as Miss Esmerelda Avocet. Average to good reviews.

Storks (PG)

Ice Age: Collision Course (G)

The fifth instalment in the Ice Age series, and definitely not the best but still seems to do the trick for kids as Scat continues his pursuit of the elusive acorn — in space. Didn’t get good reviews but still fun for kids.

The Secret Life of Pets (PG)

Jack Russell Max lives in a Manhatten apartment but his life is turned upside down when his owner Katie adopts a stray called Duke and all manner of adventures unfold. Good reviews.

The BFG (PG)

Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved kids book where Sophie comes into contact with the Big Friendly Giant and gets taken to Giant Country in a whizpopping adventure. Mark Rylance stars as the BFG. Good reviews.

Finding Dory (PG)

The sequel to Finding Nemo as Dory is reunited with Nemo and Marlin in a bid to uncover the truth abot where she came from and so much more. Very good reviews.

Alice Through The Looking Glass (PG)

The sequel to 2010’s Alice in Wonderland, this time round Alice (Mia Wasikowska) has to travel back into the past to save Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter. Didn’t get great reviews, but still fun.
